Wildflower
Each piece within this collection serves as a meticulous exploration of harmony, spatial tension, and materiality, rooted in the intricate structures of flora and the dynamic intervals between them.
My process is inherently intuitive, favouring an organic approach where pigment is allowed to flow freely, interweaving on the surface to evoke movement and vitality. The interplay of expressive splashes and controlled acrylic pen work introduces a layered vibrancy, aiming to achieve a composition that feels simultaneously immediate and nuanced.
This subject matter emerged not only from a deep admiration for wildflowers but also from the visceral experience of wandering through open fields, capturing the ephemeral beauty and unbounded joy of natural landscapes. My work seeks to preserve the essence of these moments on canvas, offering the viewer a sensory refuge—a space to engage with the world’s beauty unencumbered by constraint or trepidation. Through this process, I hope the viewer finds a shared sanctuary, one that resonates with freedom and solace.
